Are high school kids negotiating contracts now? Jesus play with the school your at and the kids you grew up with. Good or bad.
Well as far as I have heard, it was definitely a possible but it appears that Norton has him locked back in the fold. Now the questions remain
1)If there is truth, what does it do/say for the Norton chemistry? Your leader is ready to abandon you.
2)Does Phil go postal? And if he did attend or show up at PV, how much was done to start the process. Lord knows that if Phil can somehow manipulate this and question his eligibility, in particular with him and Jimbo's feud the last few years, he will.
3)Is it over? If he plays a game for Norton and they struggle or he gets beat the crap out of, does he show up at PV the next Monday?
4)If there was any questionable behavior on PVs part to 'recruit' him, does Norton try to report PV and/or Phil due to the rivalary.
5)If he's dating a girl at PV, how bad of trouble does the teacher/administrators get into for allowing a guest to obviously sit in classes due to a girl
Interesting day, interesting rumors, and honestly, I don't know that I know any of it was really true or to what level it was. Have heard the rumors all year, I think Clintwood should have increased their effort if this was game, I mean he mentioned coming to Clintwood and working out with Hamilton in the paper, we have some pretty girls, sure one of them could have won him over
Not saying that I fault Miles for checking his options out, part of me wonders with all the talk thats been going on if he and Adams have a good relationship. Normally there isn't this much smoke without there having been some fire at least.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

As a graduate and longtime supporter of JIB I, spoke to many people involved in this and with what I was told by His mother and brother, they are afraid the VHSL will be investigating and ruin his chances of a Scholarship. Offering a young man a car, cell phone and clothes and a room to attend their school is unethical and cheating. How many times have we heard in the news about this going on with basketball players across the country and it's going on here now!
This young man has worked his butt off in the school for 4 years to get his grade up to par to attend college on a scholarship, to better himself. The Father and son involved in this don't care about that, because that's construed as accepting gift's and could get his college eligibility tossed altogether, just because of selfishness on their part. Parents like that are what's wrong with this nation today.
"There he goes, one of Gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die"
In the VHSL eye's he would have been recruited and ineligible to play anywhere after that point, making him ineligible to play anywhere, and probably he would have quit school shortly thereafter.
I seriously doubt the Virginia High School League even cares. If it's not AAA football or a dollar bill they'll let you do whatever you please.

are you saying if someone from PV tried to recruite, even if he didn't take anything, he would be ineligible?
that can't be the case. if all you had to do was try to try to recrute a player to make them inelgible then any school could go after the best player in the area just to get him kicked off a team. go after the best player on each team you have to play to get them kicked off. I think the player in question would have to accept something. just because someone is offering and talking shouldn't have anything to do with being eligible.
